SECURITY & VIGILANCE DEPARTMENT

1) History:-

The Bombay State Transport Corporation came into existence on April 14, 1952 under the Road Traffic Act and the Acts made thereunder. In 1956, the state was divided into two states, namely Gujarat and Maharashtra, and on 1 May, 1960, the state was divided into two emerging states based on transport currency area. Similarly, the traffic challan in Vidarbha and Marathwada which was under Provincial Transport Service Madhya Pradesh and Road Transport Department Hyderabad. The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation emerged after its merger with the Bombay State Road Transport Corporation. The said corporation is providing passenger transport services throughout the state of Maharashtra and outside the state as well. R.P. Security and vigilance account is a major and important account as per the structure of the corporation. Senior officers of the Indian Police Service are deputed to the post of head of this department by the government. This account is primarily referred to as the "eyes and ears" of the corporation regarding security work. Knowing the importance of this account, the Corporation has named it as "Security and Vigilance Account" since 1982. The work of this account is done confidentially.

Since the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation came into existence, a security account has been functioning in the corporation. A senior officer of the Indian Police Service is deputed by the government as the head of this department. This account is primarily referred to as the eyes and ears of the corporation regarding security work. Knowing the importance of this account, the Corporation has been called as Security and Vigilance Department since 1982. As vigilance work is done confidentially, the following duties and responsibilities are mainly to be performed

1. The Msrtc Place where the security guards are appointed. To protect the property and equipment of the Corporation,
2. Investigation of private illegal passenger traffic is done by Police Department and Office of Regional Transport Assistant Transport Officer. At the time of such inspection, the police are provided vehicles with drivers to these RTOs as required.
3. Disclosure of vigilance fraud, financial malpractices and cases causing financial loss to the corporation to bring
4. Inquiry Honorable Minister, Honorable President, Hon. Vice President and Managing Director and various others. Investigating appropriate complaints received by the media.
5. Bus inspection To carry out unscheduled inspection of State buses plying on the route in the vicinity of highway exits,
6. Safety of Passengers In order to keep the safety of passengers intact, Rep. CCTV system has been installed at the bus station to check whether the drivers working on the corporation's buses drink, drive the bus at high speed and carelessly or how, for the safety of the passengers. Also security guards have been appointed at the district level bus stand. Security
7. Polos received by the Police Motor Warrant Inspection Section are sent for motor warrant inspection and vigilance. A detailed report if found after checking the said warrant Presented.
8. Investigation of Compassionate Cases The employees appointed on compassionate grounds through the Security and Vigilance Department are investigated for compassionate cases, in which the said employees are subject to educational qualification according to their post. Eligibility and other matters are checked.
9. Inspection of commercial establishments Commercial establishments at the bus stand are inspected to ensure that the commercial establishments are not using extra space and are not selling other goods.
10. Post-mortem accident cases In case of post-mortem accident in investigation department the said accident. The documents of the case are collected and information is taken. So that the actual, financial income, age and dependents of the deceased can get financial assistance. A detailed report in this regard is to be submitted to the Divisional Controller.
11. Robbery / embezzlement etc. If there is an incident regarding the same, detailed information regarding the same to the superior office is informed. And appropriate measures and the process of filing a case in the police were being done.
12. Court hearings: Security and vigilance powers for court hearings to be held in the department The supervisory staff is directly present.
13. Regarding criminal offenses, Rep. Details of criminal offenses filed against officers/employees are collected and followed up and the filing of cases is coordinated with the police administration through the Security and Vigilance Department.
14. Increase in pay increase to officers/employees in serious crime cases: Has it come or how? This is checked. A detailed report is to be submitted in the case where irregularities are found
15. Investigation of pending criminal cases: Between one and five years with all competent authorities in the department Crime cases pending for a long period of time are investigated and a detailed report is submitted in the cases found.
16. Pending advance and pending gratuity cases in inspection department of Employee provided fund, Housing, medical and other advance cases, nor subdar cases pending for demand certificate are examined. Actions have been taken according to the rules or how? This is being investigated. A detailed report is to be submitted in the case where irregularities are found.
17. ETI Machine Inspection Section ETI Machines, Cash Issue Section in Agar are inspected regularly during warehouse visits. A detailed report is provided if errors are found.
18. The labour movement taking place in the labour movement department is monitored and fixed Adequate security arrangements are maintained as per the requirements. Detailed information about labor movement. Seniors are informed periodically. A detailed report is submitted accordingly.
19. Firefighting equipment, first aid box section while conducting route inspection are first aid box and suction equipment available in buses or how? If so, is it running? How? This is checked regularly. If fire extinguishers and first aid boxes are not found in the buses, a detailed report should be submitted to the unit head
20. Incidents of fire occur in firefighting equipment handling training department / workshop / warehouse and other establishments like Rup. Accordingly, through the Department of Security and Vigilance, the officers/employees of the RP Corporation are regularly trained in the handling of firefighting equipment with a view to how to prevent it in the event of an incident like fire.
21. Buses go to the last stop as scheduled or not? This is being investigated. Regarding this A detailed report is submitted if any irregularities are found.
22. Overtime Allowance : Overtime Allowance is remitted on performance to drivers / carriers with higher basic pay / higher overtime allowance rates or how? In this regard, a regular inspection is done by going to the warehouse. If any irregularities are found in this regard, a detailed report is submitted...Was it or not? To check about it.
23. Purchase Diesel, Oil, Store Spare parts of crore rupees by the department to check inward / outward entries given properly or not to inspect.
24. R.P. Monitoring scrap worth crores of goods to avoid malpractices in distribution after sale before auctioning:
