As name suggests, the Personnel Department is dealing with the employees of the Corporation, right from recruitment up to termination and beyond termination to look after the terminal benefits of its employees, viz. gratuity, provident fund, employees’ pension etc. The basic functions of the Personnel Department are as under :-
The department is liable to frame policies of the Corporation for employees. The Personnel Departmental is headed by the General Manager (P&IR). He is supported by other hierarchical officers, viz. Deputy General Manager (Personnel), Chief Personnel Officer, Chief Labour Officer, Personnel Officers, Assistant Personnel Officers, Labour Officer and other staff.
